Taking to Twitter to deny a claim never guarantees the celebrity in question is telling the truth.

And despite claiming to have fallen victim to fake nude pictures circling online, it seems Carly Rae Jepsen has in fact been hacked – with a computer whizkid stealing the genuine product from her.

TMZ are reporting that the alleged thief is now trying to ‘sell them to various media outlets’, and the 26-year-old is ‘desperate’ to prevent the leak and, in turn, ruin her wholesome sugary sweet image.

On a positive note, the Vancouver Police Department said a potential suspect had already been located, following the investigation ‘in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen’.
